The Passport Office of Bareilly was created in 1983 under the Ministry of External Affairs under the central passport organisation. To begin with passport office, the Bareilly passport office started to cater to needs of Uttarakhand’s residents and 24 Districts of Western Uttar Pradesh. A separate passport Office was opened at Ghaziabad in 1997 for the residents of Aligarh, Agra and Meerut.
