Aston MartinEstablished in the year, 1913 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford, Aston Martin is amongst the most loved cars of the world. It has a very interesting story behind its existence. The first car to be called as Aston Martin was created by Martin by fitting a four-cylinder Coventry-Simplex engine to the chassis of a 1908 Isotta-Fraschini. What they did was collecting the acquiring a premises at Hanniker Place in Kensington and produced their first car in March 1915. Martin raced specials at Aston Hill near Aston Clinton, and the pair decided to make their own vehicles.Aston Martin Lagonda Limited designs, manufactures and distributes luxury sports cars. The original name of Aston Martin was Bamford & Martin Ltd. The name emerged after an event. It was after a success of runs at the Aston Clinton Hill climb event near Aston Clinton in Buckinghamshire, England by Lionel Martin. From 1994 until 2007, Aston Martin was a completely owned subsidiary of the Ford Motor Company, becoming part of Ford’s Premier Automotive Group when it was formed in 2000.

On 12 March 2007, a consortium of investors purchased 90% of Aston Martin for £479 million, with Ford preserving a £40 million stake.It was on 6 December 2012, the Italian private equity fund signed a deal to buy 37.5% of Aston Martin, investing £150 million as a capital increase.The first four-door Aston Martin Rapide sports cars rolled out of the Magna Steyr factory in Graz, Austria in 2010. In late 2012, Investment Dar appraises its stake, with Mahindra & Mahindra rising as a potential bidder for nearly half of Aston Martin. On 6 December 2012,an Italian equity decided to buy 37.5% of Aston Martin, investing £150 million as a capital increase. Aston Martin continues to attract the visitors all around.
