In the year 1960, the office has become an additional office of State Bank of India beneath the SBI Subsidiary Banks Act, 1959, endorsed by the Parliament of the country, India. Between 1959 and 1965, State Bank of Travancore obtained several undersized private banks in the state of Kerala. The Bank also released approximately 44 new branches throughout the financial year, now the total number of branches of the bank has come up to 792 in number. Other than this, State Bank of Travancore is permitted by Reserve Bank of India for opening 75 more official branches and also 55 more branches underneath General authorization accorded by RBI.
