Kutumba
Kutumba shelters destitute and disabled women and children by providing them with residential facilities; encouraging them to cope with their difficulties by interacting with others and sharing opportunities, challenges and responsibilities. Kutumba was established in 1991, to provide an integrated foster care program for destitute disabled girls. ‘Kutumba’ is derived from the sanskrit word meaning a joint family living together under one roof. Kutumba provides a home for these children, who we feel have been rejected twice, first by their families and then by society.
