RRB Gorakhpur

The holy town of Uttar Pradesh, Gorakhpur is situated at the eastern part of the state. Gorakhpur houses its own Railway Recruitment Board also with other several RRB offices of the country. The Railway Recruitment Board of Gorakhpur was recognized on 14 July, 1984. Presently RRB Gorakhpur was amalgamated with the services of RRB-Muzaffarpur, which was catering very well to the whole North Eastern Railways.

RRB Gorakhpur was providing best of the services to its allotted regions. In the month of January, 1985 Railway Service Commissions were reconstructed as Railway Recruitment Board’s and abbreviated as RRB. Later in 1998 all RRB offices in India came below the organization of the Railway Recruitment Control Board that was directed through Ministry of Railways from the head office of Railway Board, New Delhi. From Delhi RRB office, all other RRB offices synchronize and rationalize the various functions and proceedings of RRBs in the country.

In 2002 when all zonal offices of RRB got redeployment and reshuffled, RRB -Muzaffarpurturn out to bethe separate fraction of East Central Railway and RRB Gorakhpur was only serving to the basic prerequisites of North East Railways.RRB Gorakhpur holds enrollment of Group ‘C’ staff of Head Quarter offices. Gorakhpur RRB is catering Izatnagar,Lucknow, Gorakhpur and Varanasi distributions of North Eastern Railways and also for Research Designes & Standards Organization of Lucknow.

The Gorakhpur RRB is headed by Chairman, Sh. Rajiv Kishore, assisted by S.K.Tripathi- assistant secretary, with a small team of Group ‘C’ & Group ‘D’ staff team members to run the RRB Office.
