I was travelling from Mumbai,India to nottingham, UK on 30th September 2014.
I had connecting flights at Abu Dhabi and Amsterdam while travelling. I reached Abu dhabi (EY 205 )and took connecting flight to Amsterdam. Everything went smoothly till this.
But when I reached Amsterdam, I missed my next flight to nottingham as my previous flight(EY 77). I hurried towards the gate but the flight had already left.and the officials told me that my luggage was still there on the Amsterdam airport since my flight (EY 77 )was late.
So as a consequence I requested them to arrange another flight for me to nottingham. But they said that there was no other flight to nottingham in the next 24 hours.and for me it was really essential to reach my destination as early as possible because I had already missed my college lectures.I am a student at the university of nottingham and my course has already started on 22nd of September. So I could not afford spending another 24 hours there at Amsterdam. So the officials told me that they can give me flight to London and arrange my transport from London Heathrow to nottingham. I agreed to it.
So I took the flight from Amsterdam to london heathrow by KLM airways. But when I reached london it was all chaos.the etihad counter was already closed.and was night time.I was alone there at airport not knowing anyone.moreover my luggage was also delayed.I did not get one of my bags which contained essential things like sweaters and thermals. So I had to face a lot of cold and inconvenience. I took a taxi to nottingham and spent around 100 euros for the same.it was already airlines responsibility to arrange my transport.
So I request to pay me the compensation for inconvenience I have experienced and taxi fare as well.I will have to think twice next time before taking flight with your airlines as I had a terrible experience.
I have attached my ticket and boarding passes with this letter and the missing luggage report as well.
Waiting for your your positive and quick response.
Thanks and regards
