CSIR
CSIR is Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Science and Technology of Government of India. This is the largest R & D organisation in India with more than 36 laboratories and over 38 field stations across the country. There are various fields in that Council of Scientific and Industrial Research carries out research and development. These segments comprise ocean sciences, Structural engineering, Life sciences, aerospace engineering, metallurgy, petroleum, leather, chemicals, environment, mining and food. The premier industrial Research & Development – CSIR– was registered under the Registration of Societies Act of 1860. Its aim is to provide industrial competitiveness, advancement of fundamental knowledge and social welfare.
CSIR Labs comprise Biological Science, Chemical Science, Physical Science, Engineerning Science, Information Science etc.
