Established in 1978, SIBM Pune is amongst the reputed management Institute of the country. It is created a unique place for itself. Today it is counted as one of the best Business Schools in India. In the year 1979, SIBM Pune proved its courage the first institute in Pune to organize a seminar outside the city grounds in Mumbai. Later other people followed the suit. Later on, it was in 1982 that learning as well as training scheme was started. Later supplementary training courses were incorporated in the prospectus to supplement the Pune University syllabus. Now SIBM Pune is ranked among the top B-schools in India. Later in 1990, it received permanent affiliation from Pune University. It is the only B-school to have achieved this unique status. In 1996 the BASE programme was also introduced.

The same year witnessed SIBM Pune shift to its new campus with well-equipped infrastructure. The best thing came in 2002 when SIBM became part of Symbiosis International University because of its excellent academic record. With more of the latest developments, it is set to break new records of excellence in Management field.
