Delhi Technological University was established in 1941 as Delhi Polytechnic. Today this university is called Delhi Technological University or DelTech or Delhi College of Engineering. Mainly an engineering College, it offers courses in various engineering departments like mechanical, civil, electrical, electronics, software engineering etc. The university offers courses from Bachelor’s level to Doctorate Level (PhD). It was given a state university status in 2009 before which it was affiliated to Delhi University. Basically a technical institute offering courses in fields like engineering, the university has also started management courses since 2009.

The large campus of the university is located in the Bawana road of Delhi. It is a residential campus for both students and faculty, where all amenities necessary in the campus are provided. The admissions for Bachelor’s in Engineering are on the basis of All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE) and MBA admissions are on the basis of Common Admission Test (CAT). The students of this University participate in research in technical innovation and also participate in many inter college competitions. Delhi Technical University is often ranked as one of the top institutes for engineering in India. The University has many Cultural events, Sporting events and Academic festivals.
