The Universities Grants Commission was established as one of the most pre eminent achievements of the Indian Government in order to establish Central Universities in all states of the nation thus making a huge affiliate network that could be effectively governed by the concerned boards of each specific field. This was an initiative to standardize the education throughout the nation. As a part of this initiative, the Hyderabad University was established as the Central University for the state of Andhra Pradesh in the year 1974. This institution is fully funded by the UGC and has been a fully functional chamber of learning speeding across the state through affiliations and standardizing the curriculums for all academic fields thus pertaining to the UGC’s purpose.
