National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL) was established in Ranchi in Jharkhand by an act passed by the Government of Jharkhand. It is one of the latest National Law Universities in the country and was established in 2010 .The chancellor of the university is the Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court. The motto of the university is “Nasato vidyate bhavo nabhavo vidyate satah”.

The National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL) offers courses at both graduate and post graduate level. The university offers the standard 5 year course in undergraduate level, the B.A, LL.B (Hons). At the post graduate level the courses offered are the LL.M- PhD, J.S.D (Doctor of Juridical Science) and PhD Programs. There are moot courts conducted by the university and there are moot competitions in the university. Besides this students can participate in various other events in the campus. There are hostel facilities available for the students of the National University of Study and Research. Research in various fields of law is also done at this university. The National University of Study and Research in Law has a good library facility and students are provided with Wi-Fi services at the university.
