The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law is a National Law University in Patiala in Punjab. This university was established by the Punjab Government by passing an act in 2006.It was established to promote legal education in the state of Punjab. The university is affiliated to the BCI and the UGC. The Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court is the Chancellor of the university. The motto of the university is “Knowledge Empowers”. The RGNUL Patiala has a large campus in Patiala.

The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law offers courses at the undergraduate level as well as the post graduate level. The five year integrated course of B.A, LL.B (Hons) is offered to the students at the undergraduate level. The university also has many programs at the post graduate level. These programs include various programs in different fields of law like LL.M, M.Phil and PhD level programs. The students also have moot courts to help them get better experience and knowledge of law. The students of the RGNUL also participate in intra college moot competitions and have won awards.

There are also various specialized research centers in RGNUL catering to student’s needs that do research in various different fields of law which is promoted at the university.
