Malda district is situated in the state of West Bengal of India. Malda is placed on the banks of the River Mahananda and it is considered as the 5th largest city of the state. It provides as the district headquarters too. Malda has constructed its Railway Recruitment Board also with many other RRBs of the country.

Railway Recruitment Board, Malda originally set up as Railway Service Commission in the year 1984 and afterwards, it was reconstructed in the year 1985 and renamed as Railway Recruitment Board. Railway Recruitment Board, Malda is allotted the recruitment process and requirements for Group ‘C’ staff for few sections of eastern Railway, south east railway, North-east Frontier Railway and Production Unit of ChittaRanjan Locomotive Works. The main aim for setting and need of RRB is to reduce the labor and load on previous existing RRBs of India, to speed up the recruitment & selection course and competence.
